My work is very affordable as I find most handmade goods to be too expensive. I want you using my work as often as you like. That way, if you wind up breaking something you love, you won’t feel like you can’t replace it. I don’t want you to be afraid of breaking my work. If you use something a lot eventually you’ll need to replace it and that’s OK. Also, I’d like to think my work is for everyone…to me expensive handmade functional pottery says, “Hey you! You’re only good enough to look at my work…you aren’t good enough to own it!”. I sell my work for less than the going rate. Most of my mugs and cereal sized bowls are $12 and go up from there according to size. I find that many of my larger bowls are 30-50% less expensive than work from others and that goes for many of my other large pieces as well.
Purchasing my work may be a little more complex than you’d like, but that’s how I work. Since I don’t purposefully make replicas you can’t order specific pots from photos unless it’s a larger, more expensive pot that I still happen to have. Generally my regular, functional ware is all fairly different and I ask you to give me a general description of what you’re looking for and I do my best to meet your request. I’ve taken very large orders from international customers not knowing what to expect and more often than not they order more. I have yet to have an unsatisfied customer selling my pots this way so please trust me. I will do everything I can to make sure you’re happy with your purchase.
If you would like a matching set of pottery I will make a custom order as I basically think of a matching set as one pot. I don’t like to make matching things unless I’m making a set that will not be reproduced again. Be assured that any custom sets will be yours and you’ll never run into the same set again. I relish the opportunity to make a dinnerware set and its one of my favorite things to do but honestly I love when customers buy a mishmash of pottery where every pot has its own character. Tea sets and Pitcher/Tumbler sets are a different story though. Making one-off pouring vessels with perfectly matching cups/tumblers is a welcome challenge. If you have a request for something just let me know and we can talk it over.
